![]() ![]() Your new free version has most of the basic blocks for older maps but the missing ones would be very welcome, it takes a lot of work to replace some missing pieces with the new pack, the new blocks look good! but there shouldn't be any missing blocks in your new version of MB, otherwise we'll do all the work for nothing :) I'd like to keep working with the new version of Map Builder so I hope all the basic blocks stay the same. It's a long list, but I hope you can extend the package for the free Map Builder with these missing props and fix some to ensure compatibility with older maps. Your new texture for DIRT_BLOCK is too orange, could you maybe bring back the old dirtier texture and name this new orange texture DIRT_BLOCK2? Then it is better suited for natural substrates & the textures for RED_BRICKS have been rotated, now all the masonry is vertically bricked:) Maybe you can put this prop back to the original lighter color and name the new darker one BRICK_PLAIN_WALL 2, by the way the new dark texture of BRICK_PLAIN_WALL doesn't match with the THINBRICK_2X, maybe you can make a darker version of that too. It's about these important missing props: BLACK_STONE_TILES (missing the extra large tile, when I load a map I see smaller variant with a grayer texture) Maybe you can put the original BLACK_STONE_TILES prop back to the original texture and name the new smaller one for instance GREY_STONE_TILES?, and MOSAIC_STONE (it's now a block but was an extra large tile).īRICK_TILE_RED is missing (the one with tiling) and I see you've given the BRICK_PLAIN_WALL a darker texture. The pack is smaller (that's good thing for stability), but unfortunately some props are missing from my maps made with the older versions of Map Builder. TS3's worlds were always so stunning.Hi, I see you changed some of the props for Map Builder Discovery 1.07 for free. To this day I still wish that TS3 just had better sims-or I wish that I had enjoyed building and decorating as much as I do now. I hope that TS4 neighbourhoods can be screencapped in game. If you like TS2 fully featured neighbourhoods, you should check out budgie2budgie on Tumblr or watch jennasims (sp?) TS2 Let's Play. This is my town and my first attempt at world building. The ability to move quickly around the map and identify troublespots is a vital part of. Oh, this is just wonderful! It breaks my heart to not be able to so what we used to with the views! Maybe they'll reconsider and add a proper map in later? Familiar world The Sims live in a world that reflects our own. Nevertheless this could still be considered a step back and such a shame too since TS4 has a far more visually sophisticated neighbourhood than TS2 despite being hugely scaled back from TS3 gorgeous neighbourhood maps/views. ![]() I guess we'll find out after release whether concerns are justified. I don't know if that will be a challenge or not since TS4 isn't an open world because we have yet to see all of the camera views available. If the neighbourhood view is greyed out, then the only way to capture pictures of the town is in game. ![]() I reckon it is even more amazing if for those adept at world building (I'm just a beginner). I spent hours in my neighbourhood view trying to capture great shots to create maps and photos for my City Hall project. ![]() In TS2 you could zoom in and take pictures of the town from a first-person view, if I recall correctly TS3 was the same, but of course the TS3 worlds were far more breathtaking. It's a static map, how exciting could they have made it?Īctually, neighbourhood view can be very exciting. I don't really understand people's issues with the map. ![]()
